PM of Ukraine Instructed to Complete Deregulation
OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov instructed the First Deputy Prime Minister Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi to lead the work on the competition of deregulation. The corresponding order made by the Prime Minister at a Government’s session.
"The work on deregulation is delayed. And officials in the field hang a leg with the introduction of deregulation. We must strengthen this critical area of work. I instruct to lead the First vice Prime Minister this direction. Time to persuasion exhausted. It is time to use tough measures to authority at all levels and business faithfully performs its duties" - Mykola Azarov said.
The Prime Minister set a task to complete the deregulation this year to help to attract investment. "We must open the door to possible investment at most. To create an honest, transparent and fair terms and conditions of doing business, that Ukraine is on a par with the leaders in the ranking of economic freedom. Nothing else will convince the world’s corporation to place in Ukraine advanced production, transfer to Ukraine the latest technology. Of course, we need other motivation: the arrangement of infrastructure of "investment bridgeheads", training of workers and engineering specialties, the availability of credit and so on. But the first thing an investor should see: free and honest officials who contribute to its work" - Mykola Azarov argued.
