OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2012. EBRD director for North Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus Paul Henri Forestier stated this at a meeting with Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatolie Salaru.

He highly appreciated implementation of projects on rehabilitation of roads backed by the bank and considered it advisable to invest in projects on the railway sector development.

As Anatolie Salaru noted the segment Giurgiulesti-Cahul – Cantemir requires special attention because cargo transportation is impossible there as technical conditions of rail ways make it dangerous.

To implement the project on rehabilitation of rail ways of Moldova the Ministry of Transport has to coordinate some formalities.
