Arkhangelsk to Provide Support to IDGC of North-West Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2012. A declaration to the effect was made by Governor Igor Orlov in the course of the meeting with General Director of IDGC of the North-West, JSC Alexander Kukhmay.
The Government of the Arkhangelsk Region will provide support to projects enabling one to give up usage of imported fuel and stabilize the tariffs. The Parties have discussed the issues of the electric power grid complex development, consumer power supply reliability enhancement, energy efficiency improvement as well as energy saving technologies adoption within the region territory.
– The region Government will support all projects that will enable one to avoid the necessity of using imported tariffs and to reduce or, at least, freeze the tariffs, – emphasized Igor Orlov. – I believe that today's meeting is beginning of large-scale systemic work for the region development. Following the meeting outcome Governor instructed the power industry specialists to submit plans for the electric power grid complex development to the authorities concerned.
