OREANDA-NEWS.  April 25, 2012. The branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company in Sochi has entered into contracts of compulsory third party liability insurance for the owners of hazardous facilities for the damage resulting from hazardous facilities’ average with “Sochi International Airport” OJSC, reported the press-centre of Ingosstrakh.

The contracts have been enclosed pursuant to Federal Law No. 225-FZ dated July 27, 2010, which came into effect on January 1, 2012. The total sum insured by the contract amounted to 50 mln roubles.

Sochi International Airport is one of the five leaders in passenger traffic serving internal Russian flights. Currently, its throughput capacity equals to 2.5 thousand people per hour. By 2014, when there are Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, this indicator will grow up to 3.8 thousand passengers per hour, thus fully complying with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has over 13 years of experience in public liability insurance of organizations running hazardous production facilities to the extent permitted by the existing law; it is a member of the National Union of Liability Insurers. Over the first three months of operation of Federal Law No. 225 dated July 27, 2010, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company issued more than 4.5 thousand policies providing the insured parties with reliable protection against contingencies in case of emergency at the place of production.
