OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2012. Nineteen livestock production entities built or reconstructed with the financial support of Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) have been put into operation since the beginning of 2012, reported the press-centre of RusAg.

The Bank extended RUB 2.4 billion for the implementation of these projects. The launch of livestock enterprises will significantly increase the share of domestic producers in the meat and dairy market segments. New complexes and farms were opened in 14 regions of the Russian Federation.

Lending to livestock production is one of the Bank`s priority business directions. The volume of financing extended by the Bank to the livestock investment projects within the period from 2006 to 2011 amounted to RUB 188 billion.

RusAg extended loans for construction and modernization of 2 653 agribusiness units, 1 740 of which have already been put into operation.
