OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid insurance indemnification to 2,219 tourists of Lanta Tour Voyage by 1,009 claims for an overall amount of 39.6 mln rubles, reported the press-centre of Ingosstrakh.      

According to supporting documents submitted to Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, the Register of claims for ratio calculation altogether includes 2,789 claims in regard to 6,278 tourists. Total amount of loss is 194,583,281.22 rubles. Thus, considering the limit of responsibility of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company under insurance contract amounting to 100,000,000 rubles, the ratio equals to 0.5139187672.

It is important to note that a part of suffered tourists still has not submitted the originals of payment documents proving factual losses (checks, invoices, receipts, etc.) to Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. We strongly recommend to everyone who has not done it yet to promptly submit the originals of payment documents. These are essential to provide insurance reimbursement pursuant to Article 17.5 of the Federal Law “On Fundamental Principles of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation”.

Also, we would like to remind that to receive the payment in non-cash form pursuant to Clause 2 Article 328 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation you should submit to the insurance company an application for the transfer of funds with indication of your bank details; the application should contain the personal signature of the tourist or his/her representative possessing a notarial power of attorney.
