OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik (the main manufacturing facilities of PJSC EMAlliance) has shipped three PVD-550 for Kirishskaya GRES (a branch of OGK-2). Total weight of the equipment is over 120 tons.

Pursuant to the Contract signed between EMAlliance and the Customer in August 2011, Krasny Kotelshchik is to manufacture six High Pressure Heaters PVD-550 and two Quick-Acting Protection Devices thereto. The equipment shipment to Kirishskaya GRES is scheduled by the end of May 2012.

A special feature of the PVD-550 design for Kirishskaya GRES is a side steam supply. Such arrangement has complicated the Heater tube system assembly with their casings and required adherence to the process requirements. The finished equipment has passed hydraulic tests and the required inspection. We remind that in March this year, at Kirishskaya GRES, an 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Unit has been put into operation, for which Power Machines have supplied two gas turbine plants each 279 MW (made by Siemens), and EMAlliance supplied two HRSGs. Also Power Machines’ specialists have modernized a 300 MW steam turbine, installed at the GRES, for its further operation as part of the CCP.
