OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. The 11th Annual Conference of the International Competition Network (ICN) was officially opened in Rio-de-Janeiro (Brazil). The delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) at the conference is led by Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, Andrey Tsarikovsky, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

At the 11th ICN Conference representatives of the antimonopoly authorities from 108 countries across the globe take part in a plenary session and Working Groups on competition advocacy, agency effectiveness, mergers, unilateral behaviour and cartels.

The discussions include such topics as “Effectively Advocating Competition: Ways and Means”, “Preventing Antitrust Violations: the Role of Compliance”, “Agency Effectiveness: Smart Resource Management”, “Enforcement Cooperation”, “Investigative Process”, “Hot Topics in Merger Analysis”, “Settlements in the Areas of Cartels, Mergers and Unilateral Behaviour”, etc.

Russian delegation is going to hold several bilateral negotiations with competition authorities of Brazil, Spain, Italy, BRICS countries, Mexico, Portugal, India and the General Directorate on Competition of the European Commission.
