OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Bryansk Region (Bryansk OFAS Russia) found that the Department of Industry, Transport and Communication of the Bryansk Region (the Department) restricted competition by unreasonably preventing activities of an economic entity, in particular, by restricting access to information about a tender, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon a petition of an individual entrepreneur against actions of the Department in course of announcing and organizing a tender for the right to conclude a contract for regular commercial transportation of passengers by road transport on the “Kletnya – Bryansk” intercity route.

Bryansk OFAS Russia found that the Department of the Bryansk Region violated Part 1 Article 15 and Part 1 Article 17 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

“The Department of Industry, Transport and Communication of the Bryansk Region regularly violates the existing law in course of tenders for the right to conclude a contract for regular commercial transportation of passengers by road transport on inter-municipal and suburban routes in the Bryansk Region. Actions of Department often are the subject of investigations by the antimonopoly body”, pointed out the Head of Bryansk OFAS Russia, Nina Selyanina.
