Moldova May Receive USD 130 mn from Privatization
OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. These objectives have been included in the Plan of Action of the Government for 2012-2015 approved by Cabinet Ministers. The government is going to establish 10 public and private partnership agencies. Authorities are going to continue selling state property in liberalized areas on the basis of open and transparent competitions, put into practice progressive methods of denationalization and state property administration.
It has been planned to implement principle of corporative governance at state enterprises, optimize sizes, structure and methods of state property administration, and optimize expenses of state enterprises where the state owns major shareholdings. The government has set the goal to improve efficiency of use of state property by restructuring and converting non-profitable companies on the basis of the public and private partnership.
The government will also continue selling enterprises included in lists of privatization and review the lists themselves to enlarge them. Cabinet ministers are planning to promote public and private partnership as implementing regional social, economic and infrastructural projects and transmit assets of enterprises majority of stock are held by the state to trust managing of local and overseas companies. Revenue of Moldova from selling state property made up 118,68 mln. leis in 2011. It is projected to be 260 mln. leis in 2012.
