OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012.  Rosmorrechflot set the provisional date of opening of transit navigation on Volga-Balt shipping canal, as of April 30, the agency said.

The Rosmorrechflot, a Russian maritime and river navigation safety supervisor, added that only ice-class vessels will be allowed to pass the inland waterways depending on ice conditions on the channel. The agency does not recommend sailing at night time.
