OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. Schoolchildren and students of Katav-Ivanovskurban settlement participated in “Recognition” award ceremony which took place on April 11th at the Katav-Ivanovsk Palace of Culture. The award was established by “Katavsky cement”, JSC in honor of its 45th anniversary, reported the press-centre of EUROCEMENT.

More than 70 candidates for the award submitted their portfolios to the plant management. The plant selected 11 and 22 award winners, and has decided to award all the participants, who did not make it on the list of the winners, with the “finalist” title. Moreover, “Katavsky cement”, JSC awarded all teachers, who gave the winners such a great knowledge.

 The main task of the award is the promotion of social initiatives and involvement of youth in the social life of the town, the promotion of intellectual and creative potential of children and support of talented, indifferent and full of initiative young people. The award also aims at raising children’s interest in sports and healthy lifestyles, creativity, art and science, developing children’s interest in the profession of a cement worker, as well as awarding teachers, who work with talented children and teens.

Given the multifaceted activities of young people, the plant awarded the prize in 11 categories: “Science”, “Sports”, “Vocals”, “Toolmaking art”, “Arts and crafts”, “Artistic creativity”, “The winners of competitions”, “Journalism”, “Dancing”, “Social activities” and “Cement plant talents”.

Alexey Alexandrovich Zakharov, deputy head of Katav-Ivanovsky district – head of the administration staff of the Katav-Ivanovsky municipal district noted the importance of the event to support talented young people.

— The administration of our district attaches great importance to the implementation of youth policy – said Alexey Alexandrovich. – But, only in conjunction with the enterprises of the town, we can achieve considerable success in raising smart and active citizens of Russia.

Clavdia Nikolayevna Kiselyova, Head of the Department of Education of Katav-Ivanovsky district thanked teachers and children for their work and their achievements. She also wished “Katavsky cement”, JSC prosperity and further fruitful work in all areas in anticipation of the 45th anniversary.
