OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. A team of young welders from “Oskolcement’, JSC won the professional skills contest, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding. This event took place at vocational school #4 of Belgorod, reported the press-centre of EUROCEMENT.

The following teams participated in the contest: the team from “Oskolcement’, JSC, the team from “Belgorod cement”, JSC, the team from “Energomash (Belgorod) – BZEM”, LTD and students from Regional state educational institution of primary vocational education “Professional school # 9”.

Oskol cement plant was represented by a welders team which consisted of Alexander Kapnin, Alexei Sankov, Alexei Manakov and Alexei Teplov. Contestants had to answer theoretical questions, and then demonstrate their skills in the manufacture of the item, consisting of five sheet joints and two pipe sections.

Three hours is the time that was give for this work. During this time welders had a chance to show their ability to perform welds in all positions, and later the winners were identified. The best result has been shown by Ivan Soloviev, who comes from a family of welders, a graduate of Belgorod school number 4. Now he is an employee of “Energomash (Belgorod) – BZEM”, LTD, the second and third places were taken by Stary Oskol cement workers Alexei Teplov and Alexei Manakov, respectively.

When the results were summed up, the best result in terms of scored points – 300, was shown by four welders from “Oskolcement”, JSC.  Thus, the Stary Oskol team eventually won first place and was awarded with “Welder – 2012” certificates.

Not only the young welders of “Oskolcement”, JSC can celebrate the victory. Their brilliant performance is another evidence of the professionalism of the entire staff of the repair division of the plant, headed by Nikolay Vysrebenets. “Oskolcement”, JSC has traditionally high production rates, which means – high quality repairs at the plant are carried out timely and all manufacturing equipment works reliably, showing high efficiency.

Brilliant performance by Stary Oskol welders, which showed even better results than the professionals from “Energomash (Belgorod) – BZEM”, LTD, which main specialization is the welding of metal, also proves that welders team consists of highly skilled professionals. Their professionalism can be explained by very good instructors Viktor Butov and Yuri Samoilenko from the repair division of cement plant.

It is also noteworthy that at the end of last year, team from “Oskolcement”, JSC, which included welder, excavator operator, truck driver, and expert of chemical analysis laboratory, became the winner of the Lipetsk professional competition organized by the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding and brought the cup to the plant.
