OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. The reconstruction of the airport complex of Lviv International airport named after Danylo Galytskyi is in the final stage. This was announced by head of Building Department number 8 Road Construction "Altcom" LLC Oleksandr Shylyuk.

"There is a final stage of reconstruction of the runway - the builders just have to put heavy concrete for 400 linear meters of the runway - it's about 15% of the work. On the construction of the platform number 1 at the 50% works on soil stabilization and laying soil-cement", - said Oleksandr Shylyuk. According to him, the platform number 2, as well as turn-off strips № 3,4 and 7 and are ready to take the aircraft.

Work on the construction of the turn-off strip number 1 has been made to 70%, and the turn-off strip number 2 - by 80%.

Recall the project of reconstruction of the runway in Lviv, provides extension of the existing runway to 3.3 km. After a complete reconstruction the new runway will be able to take in 2.5 more planes.
