OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. Within the framework of visit of well-known Israeli companies to Baku Azerbaijan-Israel round table was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development in Baku on April 19.

The event covered the representatives of Israeli companies specialized in planning, construction and management of greenhouses in agriculture, poultry farm, irrigation systems, along with Azerbaijani businessmen operating in agro-industrial sector.

The vice-president of AZPROMO Gulshan Rzayeva highlighted that the agriculture as one of the priority fields of Azerbaijan, and stressed the significance of informing the entrepreneurs about application of modern technologies and the world practice in this field.

Then Israel companies delivered presentation on the activity of the companies represented by them, innovation systems in agriculture and food industry, new technologies in this sphere.

The exchange of views on application of Israeli experience in agrarian sector in Azerbaijan was made, the local businessmen' questions were responded within the framework of the round table.

The round table was continued by bilateral meetings.

Within the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan, Israeli companies and the minister of Agriculture of Israel Orit Noked got acquainted with the modern technologies applied in the local enterprises involved in agriculture.
