Foreign Trade of Moldova with China Up 25,2%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012.This was stated by President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova Gheorghe Cucu at a meeting with a Chinese delegation from Inner Mongolia headed by its Vice-Governor madam Bu Xiao Lin where an opportunity of expanding economic cooperation between Moldova and China was discussed.
Indicators of bilateral trade of the two states are rather modest, Gheorghe Cucu has noted. China is the 7th among major trade partners of Moldova with its share in the total volume of Moldova’s trade being 5,45%. Expansion of the Moldovan-Chinese cooperation will contribute to the economy of Moldova, the President of CCI has stressed.
According to him, our country is open for cooperation and offers to its partners such mechanisms of business development as free economic zones, industrial parks, access to Eastern and Western markets, etc. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldova exported to China goods at a sum of USD 3,9 mln. in 2011, twofold as compared with 2010. China exported to Moldova goods at as sum of USD399,8 mln., which is 24,9% more than in 2010.
China is the 4th among states exporting to Moldova and makes the 7,7% share in the total volume of Moldovan import.
