OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012.Next week the Government is considering a draft resolution on the simplest mechanism for payments to former depositors of the "Oshchadbank" USSR. The corresponding order has been given by the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund with the participation of the National Bank. The PM has informed about this during the Government sitting.

"I have instructed the Ministry of Finance together with Ministry of Social Policy, Pension Fund having consulted with the National Bank, to develop the simplest payment mechanism.  The Government considers this project next week. We will take a decision and are to start payments," said the Prime Minister.

He said the basic requirement should be that "a person could freely choose in which way to get money: in cash, or in the account or card."

Mykola Azarov has informed that yesterday the Government considered a draft resolution on the mechanism of compensation payments, which is sent for revision. "Because the project did not meet the main condition: maximally to simplify getting compensations by our citizens, to make payments without humiliating queues as well as without mass references. This is my categorical requirement to the mechanism of compensation. First of all, elderly will go to get them. We must take care that the mechanism was simple, understandable for them and served with a minimum of time," Prime Minister underlined.

Mykola Azarov has recalled that this year the State would pay our citizens 6 billion 150 million UAH. "We will pay those to whom in 2008 had been promised but did not pay ... We have deliberately undertaken this obligation, because justice must restore throughout," said Prime Minister.

However, Prime Minister has noted that changes to the budget adopted and signed by the President.

"Financial resources for implementation of the President’s social initiatives have been determined. I require taking procedures of the budget funds use for this purpose within a week. So, we have to work only in an organized way and rhythmic," Mykola Azarov set the task.
