Production of Agricultural Products Grew in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the growth was determined by the 0,6% higher production of livestock which made over 99% of the total volume of agricultural products in this period.
Cattle in poultry production increased 1,7% as compared with the same period on the last year and made up 29 thou. t of live weight. Meet production by organized agricultural enterprises increased 8%, including production of mutton and goat’s flesh by 14,1%, poultry by 9,1%, pork by 7,7%.
Milk production increased 0,8% upon average as compared with January-March, 2011 and made up 80,7 thou. t. Eggs production decreased 5,1% to 106,4 thou. pieces. Following Q1 2012 66% of cattle and poultry were produced by households against 33,7% produced by enterprises; households also manufactured 95,5% of milk and 38,6% of eggs.
