OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Ordinance No. 5 on introducing amendments to Ordinance No. 28 of 17 December 2002 "On State Regulation of Production, Sale, and Consumption of Raw Tobacco and Tobacco Products".

On 16 April Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Ordinance No. 5 on introducing amendments to Ordinance No. 28 of 17 December 2002 "On State Regulation of Production, Sale, and Consumption of Raw Tobacco and Tobacco Products".

The document introduces quotas for the manufacturing of tobacco products sold in Belarus only. As for the export of tobacco products, this process will not be restricted due to its high importance for the operation of tobacco factories and positive impact on the stability of the Belarusian ruble exchange rate.

The Ordinance will help promote export of Belarusian tobacco factories.
