OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2012. Andrey Nikipelov was appointed CEO of Atomenergomash, following the decision made by the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Atomenergomash on April 16. A. Nikipelov assumed his office on April 17, 2012.

In March, 2012 Andrey Nikipelov was presented as candidate to the shareholders of Atomenergomash following the results of an open competition to fill the vacancy of CEO of Atomenergomash which had been announced by State Corporation Rosatom.

“I consider it is important that the choice of the candidates for the position of the head of Atomenergomash was based on an open transparent competition rather than on traditional departmental logic. We will continue this practice in the future. I believe that in the position of CEO of Atomenergomash Andrey Nikipelov will prove himself as a proactive, mature, and independent leader,” said General Director of State Corporation Rosatom Sergey Kirienko. 

Andrey V. Nikipelov was born on March 7, 1968 in Kommunarsk, Voroshilovgrad Oblast (Ukraine). In 1992 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. In 2010-2011 successfully completed senior management programs at Moscow School of Management Skolkovo.   By the time Andrey Nikipelov was introduced into the nuclear industry field, he had already gained an extensive experience in the managerial structures of various commercial companies and industrial enterprises. Since 2004, Andrey V. Nikipelov has held leading positions with the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom". In 2001-2003  - Deputy General Director of JSC  "Volgograd Tractor Plant",  Director General of Foreign Trade Company VGTZ. In 2003-2004  - Deputy Director, Commercial Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Building Association" Department of Presidential affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2004-2006  - Director for Economics and Finance, OJSC "MSZ" (Rosatom fuel Company OJSC “TVEL”). In 2006-2008  - Vice President of Economics and Finance  OJSC "TVEL". From May 2008 to April 2012 - First Vice-President, Finance and Development of "TVEL ". Andrey Nikipelov is a member of Russia’s Federal Management Personnel Reserve. In 2002-2003, Andrey Nikipelov was listed among Top-200 Russia’s Commercial Directors according to Russian Mangers Association and “Kommersant’” publishing house.
