France, Moldova Increases Foreign Trade by 25%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2012. This was spoken about at a sitting held by leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of Moldova, CCI France-Moldova and President of Mobiasbanca Groupe Sociеtе Gеnеrale Emmanuel Skoulios.
As discussing more active cooperation between businessmen of the two states they have noted that within the first two months of 2012 Moldova exported goods at a sum of \\$8 mln. in France, which was 35% up as compared with the same period in 2011. France exported to Moldova goods at a sum of USD 9,3 mln., 16,2% up. Moldova exports in France 2,64% of its total export.
The share of import from France makes up 1,28% of the total import to Moldova. Gheorghe Cucu, President of CCI of Moldova has spoken for a proposal to expand cooperation between CCI RM and CCI France-Moldova to facilitate initiation of new relations of economic partnership. According to him, despite the bilateral trade has been constantly growing since 2001, it is still insignificant.
There are 81 French capital companies in Moldova, but French investments make up 3% only of total overseas investments in Moldova. Here CCI of Moldova has suggested intensifying efforts and drawing up the Plan of Action for next year.
