OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2012. Paramjit Kahlon appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. In his new position as a COO Paramjit Kahlon will be responsible for overall stabilization of Operations, achieving production volumes as per business plan and introducing new technologies. In this position he will replace Aleksandr Ioskov, who was appointed General Operating Manager - Head of Production Office and will be responsible for production planning, reported the press-centre of ArcelorMittal.

Paramjit Kahlon has a vast experience in the steel industry. Prior to his new appointment Paramjit Kahlon was Chief Technical Officer (CTO), responsible for implementation of all Investments, Strategy, Quality and Technical Processes & Consumption Norms, and before that - General Manager (Projects & Strategy), ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (2008-2010).

In his new position he will face a task of stabilizing operations and meeting the business plan targets for Q2 and 2012”.

Mr. Kahlon started his career at SMS Siemag (formerly known as Mannesmann Demag) in 1995 as Project Manager, one of the largest Steel Technology innovator & equipment supplier worldwide. In 2001 he moved to Danieli & C (Buttrio, Italy), where he was responsible for managing the installation & start-up of turnkey steel projects worldwide. He has installed started-up & operated many strategic steel projects of major steel producers in India, China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Russia in period over a decade. Paramjit Kahlon has a degree in Mechanical engineering from the Haryana State Institute of Engineering in India and holds an Executive Degree in Metallurgy along with Certificate in Computer Science.
