OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2012. Ukraine continues to search for alternative gas supplies. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during his meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Andyus Kubilyus.

"I think a common sense will prevail at our Russian partners and we will get a fair price for gas," said Mykola Azarov.

At this, he stressed that currently there are continuing talks with the Central Asian countries, including Azerbaijan, regarding alternative gas supplies, and are being negotiated with Turkey on transit of tankers with liquefied gas through the Bosphorus Strait. Mykola Azarov emphasized that all this is the work not a single day.

"These projects can last for years, but we are surely moving this way," the PM noted.
