OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2012. CONTACT system announces further development of its operations on the money transfer market of Kenya. Due to activation of a new partner - FSI Capital Ltd - CONTACT system’s clients in Kenya can now receive money transfers not only in cash at company’s offices in Nairobi, Mombasa and Thika, but also by bank deposit in any bank of Kenya or payout to mobile wallets M-PESA, reported the press-centre of RUSSLAVBANK.

Money transfers to Kenya may be sent in USD with payout in local currency - Kenyan schillings. CONTACT system has also set one of the best tariffs for sending remittances to Kenya on the Russian market - from 2.5% to 3.0% depending on the method of delivery.

CONTACT is the first Russian system, which launched money transfers to mobile wallets in Kenya. M-PESA is the largest provider of mobile services in Africa, which controls over 90% of mobile operations in Kenya. Number of M-PESA payment service users in the country now stands at 15 million people (40% of the population) and coverage - about 35 000 agency units. Money credited to recipient’s mobile wallet can be used for payment of utility bills and services, consumer goods or can be credited to bank accounts or cashed in the M-PESA agency points.

Thus, a month ago CONTACT system substantially increased its network to 5600 service points on such popular tourist destinations of Africa as Tunisia and Morocco".
