OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2012. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Omsk Region (Omsk OFAS Russia) found that “Gazpromneft-Omsk” OJSC abused its dominant position on the market. The conclusions were made upon the fact of restricting supply of oil products and creating discriminatory conditions supplying oil products in comparison with other economic entities, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case against “Gazpromneft-Omsk” OJSC was initiated upon petitions from “Top Line” Ltd., “Oniks” Ltd., “Lider” Trading Company” Ltd., “Yuridicheskie Uslougi” Ltd., and “Sharapovskoye” Ltd.

Omsk OFAS Russia found that “Gazpromneft-Omsk” OJSC violated Clauses 3 and 4 Part 1 Article 10 Of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and issued a determination to eliminate the violations of the antimonopoly law.

“In the near future Omsk OFAS Russia will study the circumstances of a second case against “Gazpromneft-Omsk” OJSC, severed from other charges upon a fact of fixing economically and technologically unjustified monopolistically high prices for supplying oil products to independent fuel filling stations, wholesale buyers”, explained the Head of Omsk OFAS Russia, Sergy Soumenkov.
