OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2012. In March, on the primary car market of Ukraine 33,619 units of vehicles had been realized and for the first time registered in the SAI. Thus, the primary market had increased in comparison with the previous month by 51%, and in relation to March of the last year by 30 percent. 

 The initial registrations of passenger cars increased by 21% compared to the previous year and reached 22,908 cars. Commercial vehicles were sold in 10,150 units, which is 54% more than in March 2011. As to the bus market, it grew by 48%. The number of new registrations of buses on the market reached 561 units.

 The proportion of new transport in primary registrations of passenger cars was 98%, in the segment of commercial vehicles 21%, and 70% of the buses.

 In March, for the first time this year, the leadership position on the market of new cars was taken by the Russian VAZ, Hyundai shifted into the second place. In the first month of spring 2,308 of VAZ cars had been sold and registered in the SAI (78% more than in February of this year, but 26% less than in March 2011). Hyundai finished the month with the index 2,108 cars. The third place was retained to VOLKSWAGEN with the result of 1,661 pc. With the volume of primary registrations – 1,604 cars, SKODA took the fourth place. The March top five is closed by KIA -1,478 new cars.

 The most popular on the market of new cars is ZAZ Lanos. In February of this year, 1,155 vehicles of this model were first registered in the SAI.

 Most purchases of new cars were noted in Kiev. In the capital, 4,216 new cars had been sold. On the second place is Donetsk Region – 2,984 cars. With 1,953 pc., the third place went to Dnipropetrovsk region. Least of all primary registrations of new cars in March were realized in Chernivetsky region. - 147 pcs.
