OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2012. The Government is taking measures to prevent the rise in price of cargos' transportation. The Cabinet of Ministers has identified the steps to resolve the situation regarding the organization of cargos' transportation.

In particular, it have been tasked the Ministry of Infrastructure and the State Administration of Railway Transport to implement measures to prevent the growth of cargo transportation’s costs resulting from the transfer of gondola cars of the inventory fleet  of the railroads  towards other state enterprises of railway transport. For this purpose it is being introduced in the calculations for the transport of cargoes in this rolling stock, the order of accrue costs that has been set for the cars of the park of railways.

Also, the Government has set a target to take measures to prevent the fulfillment transactions by the state-owned enterprises of railway transport, to which balance there are transferred the cars of inventory fleet of railroads that may lead to the disposal of this state property.

According to this government decree, at the request of the cargo owners must be ensured the conclusion of direct contracts for the implementation of transportations with state-owned enterprises of railway transport without the involvement of resellers and should be simplified procedures of their conclusion.

In addition, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the State Administration of Railway Transport will work over issue of reducing the costs of cargo owners for payment logistics services related to the organization and provision of traffic. In case of need it is requested to prepare appropriate amendments to the legislation.
