OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2012. The Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov has inaugurated the construction of a modern grain elevator in the area of Androsovsky's breakwaters of the Odessa port.

The solemn ceremonies was also attended by the Head of Odessa Regional State Administration Eduard Matviychuk, Director of the Department of state policy on maritime and river transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure Volodymyr Sevryukov, the Head of the SE "Odessa Commercial Sea Port" Yuriy Vaskov, honorary president of the port Mykola Pavlyuk and CEO of the "Brooklyn-Kyiv" company Yuriy Hubankov.

The new grain elevator at the Androsovsky's breakwaters is going to be a unique, modern, high-tech handling complex that has no analogues in the Odessa port –both as the norm for the simultaneous storage as well as the planned annual turnover of goods.

Construction of elevator will be carried out by the port jointly with "Brooklyn-Kyiv" company on a parity of financial participation. Thus, according to the project will build dock port 1 "з", and company-investor will arrange logistics areas (3 ha) and will set 33 silage banks in 235 thousand tons of a single storing.

The project cost is over 125 million USD, more than 40 million - the contribution of port, the rest - money of the company - investor.

Wattage terminal amounts 4 million tons of grain per year. The new pier 1 "з" with the length of 254 m and depth at the border of 12.5 m will be able take vessels with deadweight of 60 thousand tons.
