OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. Belarus is set to allot Br9.539 trillion, or USD 1.185 billion at the NBB rate, for the spring sowing campaign to compare with Br4.1 trillion buried in spring fieldworks in 2011.

“We are putting twice as much money into spring fieldworks this year, and you know the reason: all material assets have grown in value 2-3 times,” vice chief of Belarus’ Agriculture Ministry Vasili Pavlovski told reporters Thursday.

Belarus is allocating Br5.087 trillion for procuring mineral fertilizers, Br2.281 trillion – engine fuel and lubricants, Br1.096 trillion – plant protection chemicals, Br509.8 billion – complete parts and equipment repairs, Br564.1 billion – crop seeds.

Belarusian banks are expected to provide loan coverage for 24% of the total volume of funding for the 2012 spring sowing campaign.
