OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. The Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) and Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz) formed an alliance to support expansion in Asia by Japanese businesses. The support will be provided through the services of the DBJ Asia Financial Support Center.

The DBJ established the DBJ Asia Financial Support Center in June 2011. The Center provides consulting and information services to support the expansion in Asia by local middle-tier companies and small and medium business enterprises through 63 member regional banks. Sojitz is developing industrial parks in Indonesia, Vietnam, and India and offers integrated support services, mainly to companies that establish operations in the industrial parks, with the complex application and other procedures that impose burdens on companies such as establishment of local corporations, office brokering, plant construction, facility procurement and installation, and acquisition of permits and approvals.

The tie-up by the DBJ and Sojitz will provide local middle-tier companies and small and medium business enterprises access to more detailed and practical support services with local financial information and information on financial, tax, and accounting systems through local banks. The DBJ and Sojitz will respond to the information needs of local banks and small and medium business enterprises in these developing Asian countries and enhance support for Japanese companies expanding into Asia.
