Baosteel Launched Energy Saving Key Heat Treatment Project
OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. Led by Baosteel, the national 12th five year plan scientific and technological support planning project " new generation energy saving high-efficiency continuous heat treatment key technology research and demonstration" is officially launched yesterday at Baosteel. China Iron and Steel Industry Association Party secretary and vice president Liu Zhenjiang, Baosteel Group Corporation chairman Xu Lejiang, China Steel Industry Association vice president Wang Xiaoqi, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. deputy general manager Zhou Jianfeng, China Academy of Engineering academian Zhong Jue and Wang Guodong, and the project participating units' heads and relevant experts attend the launch meeting, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.
In order to improve the varieties, properties and surface quality of the cold-rolled products in China, reduce production costs, save energy , reduce emission and improve efficiency, under the strong support of the China Steel Industry Association and Ministry of Science and Technology, Baosteel "after cold rolling process golden apple team"plans the project.The project consists of nine sub-topics, and early last year, it becomes one of the first batches of national "12th Five-Year Technology Support Projects". After repeated demonstration and assessment by the experts, production, learning and research integrated development system organized by China Steel Association, led by Baosteel and composed of Beijing University of Science and Technology, Northeastern University and Shanghai Jiaotong University and Project Management Committee and Committee of Experts are also set up.
The development of new generation of energy saving efficient continuous heat treatment key technology aims at forming continuous heat treatment technology independent intellectual property rights, unit independent design and construction ability, addressing steel industry common technology and public interest issues such as the rapid heating and cooling of cold-rolled sheet, plate on line measurement and control, low-temperature combustion exhaust waste heat utilization by efficient heat exchange device, strip efficient cleaning, cleaning fluid recycling, cold rolling process waste reuse and promoting the popularization and application of the above technology and equipment in the domestic large-scale heat treatment unit.
At the same time, it will develop rapid heat treatment and hot-rolling pickling-free directly cold rolling annealing hot dip galvanizing process with independent intellectual property rights and realize industrial production. It will built an annual 300,000 ton high strength steel product special production line to meet the automotive, transportation, advanced manufacturing industries' demand for high strength steel products and enhance China's metallurgical industry "double high" cold-rolled and coated product production technology and equipment level.
Liu Zhenjiang points out that during the "12th Five-Year" period, China's steel industry will focus on structural adjustment and take the road of quality and efficiency.Research and development of the project is of great and far-reaching significance and is conducive to enhancing the international competitiveness of China's iron and steel products. He hopes that the participating research units can cooperate with each other, actively explore production, learning and research effective mechanism, and finish project tasks with efficiency and high quality.
In his speech, Xu Lejiang expresses thanks to China Steel Association and Ministry of Science and Technology for its support and trust to Baosteel. He says that Baosteel must attach great importance to the project R & D promotion, coordinate the relationship between the various topics and between participating research units and create conditions for project development and result application. He points out, "Although the project is challenging, but I think, under the strong support of China Steel Association and Ministry of Science and Technology and the Committees, through the unremitting efforts of R & D team, we will be able to achieve significant breakthroughs in key technologies, form major core technology with our own intellectual property rights and lead the world iron and steel industry heat treatment technology development trend.
