OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. Ukraine will produce 800 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel fuel using coal gasification technology in 2013 to ensure customer with fuel. This was started by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko on air of the Shuster LIVE program on the First National TV Chanel on April 6, 2012.

Yuriy Boyko said that Ukraine intends to adopt foreign experience of fuel production by gasification of coal, particularly the experience of the Chinese People's Republic.

"The main direction in which we work with Chinese colleagues - is gasification of coal and production of gasoline and diesel fuel. Such factories work in China and in South Africa "- said the Minister.

Yuriy Boyko said that the Ukrainian coal industry shows significant growth in production, so in 2013 it is planned to gasify 3 million tons of coal and get about 800 tons of gasoline and diesel fuel.

"Coal production this year increased by 5 million tons, so we direct 3 million tons to gasification of coal next year, which will give us about 800 thousand tons of light oil from these raw materials" - the Minister said.
