OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2012.  The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik (the main manufacturing facilities of PJSC EMAlliance) has manufactured the second HP drum for Omskaya CHPP-3. Weight of equipment is approximately 18 ton.

HP drum is one of the most large-sized boiler components. It shall be installed in the upper part of the boiler plant. The given equipment is a part of the circulation loop and the most complicated and functionally critical component.

The drum is mainly intended for phase distribution of heat-transfer fluid in the evaporative circuit. Equipment length equals to 7 m, inner diameter - to 1600 mm, and wall thickness - to 55 mm. Drum reliable operation during the whole design lifetime of the boiler is provided because of high-strength steel 16GНМА.

We remind that the Contract for equipment supply was signed between PJSC EMAlliance and the Customer in February 2011. Within the framework of the Contract EMAlliance has obligated to implement the HRSG Project and to supply main and auxiliary equipment to power two-boiler single-turbine unit of CCP with capacity of 90 MW: two gas turbines manufactured by General Electric (USA), two HRSGs of domestic manufacture under licence of company Nooter/Eriksen (USA) and one steam turbine manufactured by Turbine Factory in Kaluga.

At present Krasny Kotelshchik produces attemperators and heating surfaces for the given plant.
