OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2012.  Perm Engine Company summarized the results of the fulfillment of the plan of organizational and technical development of 2011, the base of which was implementation of new equipment and technologies. During the year 17 machines, machining centers and engineering plants were purchased, all costing 200 mln rubles. Thanks to implementation of this state-of-the-art equipment 640 mln rubles have been saved.  

In 2011 the unique production center for spraying ceramic thermal barrier coating to turbine blades was mounted, letting significantly increase their operating life. Also automatic washing line FinnSonic for preparation the blades for the coating by rinsing and automatic drying. The application of this line allows excluding use of harmful carbohydrates. 

The purchased milling, turning, grinding machines, dies, thermal furnaces and laser welding and deposit welding units permit reducing production time; improving performance characteristics and accuracy of the production manufacturing. For example, implementation of 5-axes grinding center S20 E Turbo resulted in increasing the quality of machining of complex configuration cutters and sharpening of import tools, decreased labor intensity and get economic impact equal to 1.5 mln rubles. An expected profit resulted from implementation of electro erosion coordinate broaching machine and vertical HPM machining center to produce dies from high hardness materials, will be more than 12 mln rubles per annum.   

In 2011 the significant environmental protection measures were taken. Commissioning of local waste treatment facilities, intended for cleaning the wastes of galvanic and etching departments, allowed stopping discharge of hazardous chemicals to the city sewage. Aspiration unit UVP-ST-3FRI application and cancelling of water use in the thermal shop improved the labor condition therein and enabled saving up to 780 thousand rubles annually. Replacement of galvanic bathes and reservoirs for storage of hazardous chemicals permitted eliminating the leakage of harmful substances and gave an economic impact to the extent of 6 mln rubles.   

All in all since 2008 to 2011 Perm Engine Company has bought 107 units of cutting-edge equipment for the value of 1 bln 220 mln rubles. As a comparison, within the previous 4-year period, since 2004 to 2007 there had been bought only 37 machines, costing 295 mln rubles. In 2012 the further rising of the investments for new equipment and technologies is planned.

Fulfillment of the tasks of enlargement of production volumes, and improvement of performance characteristics of the production, set by United Engine Building Corporation require stepwise implementation of the newest techniques and equipment. Within the nearest 8 years the enterprise program "Strategy-2020" assumes investment of more than 15 bln rubles for the company re-equipment.
