Chinese Officials Visit Jobsite of 20MCC Group in Sri Lanka
OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2012. A delegation of Chinese Embassy to Sri Lanka conducted an inspection visit to the jobsite of CKE (Colombo-Katunayake Airport Expressway) Project, which is undertaken by China 20MCC Construction Group (20MCC Group) in Sri Lanka on March 16, 2012. The delegation was headed by Political Counselor Ren Faqiang, reported the press-centre of MCC Group.
Dong Heping, CKE Project Manager of 20MCC Group, made a briefing on the overall project implementation. Under this works, nearly 11km ABC macadam base has been paved, making it possible for construction of the crushed stone cement base. The asphalt and the cement stabilized soil mixing stations are being built. As per the general schedule fixed by the Project Division, the pavement work for the trail section of the crushed stone cement base will be commenced in the end of March.
The delegation members visited the mixing plant under operation, the beam board plant, the crushing line, the asphalt and the cement stabilized soil mixing stations under construction, as well as the living and entertainment facilities such as the gymnasium and the multi-function recreation rooms.
At the meeting, Counselor Ren Faqiang placed a high premium on the achievements made by CKE Project Division, and congratulated beforehand the smooth completion of this works.
