Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), the largest integrated infrastructure Company and a licensee in power transmission and distribution in Mumbai, announced the launched of 'Gyanodaya' for building an effective work force capable of handling pressures arising out of the power distribution business.

This unique program is designed by RInfra to achieve excellence in providing Customer Care service. 'Gyanodaya' will enhance the domain knowledge of Customer Care team and train them to meet the growing expectations of customer. Customer care teams will now have more information related to power distribution business, which in turn would help them to efficiently handle customer queries.

RInfra is the first utility in India to launch such interactive consumer centric initiative, aimed at enhancing functional knowledge and relevant domain knowledge of employees.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Lalit Jalan, CEO & Director of Reliance Infrastructure Limited said, "Reliance Infra have been constantly striving to innovate and provide services to exceed customer expectations. 'Gyanodaya', will have elements like GYAAN SWEEKARAN - which will envisage sharing of best practices; GYAAN SAGAR - which will envisage sharing of knowledge and GYAAN VRUDDHI - which will envisage online self help training module as well as virtual class rooms for training and group discussions.

Committed to provide world class customer care and services, RInfra had earlier undertaken initiative like 'SPRARSH'. This initiative received applauds from various national as well as international forums and was conferred prestigious award from American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), USA.

Reliance Infrastructure is now a transmission and distribution licensee in Mumbai for next 25 years. The Company has already spent around Rs.700 Crores on strengthening the Mumbai Transmission Grid. The Company, at present, is also executing five transmission projects across the country with total outlay of over Rs 6,600 crore, through its another power transmission arm, It owns two out of five Ultra Mega Transmission Projects awarded to private sector till date, making RInfra as the first ever and the largest developer of transmission projects in private space.
