OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. Agricultural Ministry of Azerbaijan has started assignment of subsidies to farmers.

The Ministry reports that it received appeals from 58 regions (cities) of the country for obtainment of subsidies.

"On 7 March 2012 it was decided to assign subsidies for AZN 25.189 million. The subsidies will be given to 168.893 individuals and legal entities- agricultural producers – for use of 629.700 hectares of land ",- the report says.

The authorized agent Kapital Bank has already started payment of subsidies.
