Crude Oil Production
TATNEFT produced 2,199,075 tons of crude oil in March, while the production volume for three months amounted to 6,453,613 accounting for 59,622 tons increase versus 2011 году (100.9 %) with the above-the-plan production amounting to 142,065 tons (102.3 %). The amount of 6,360,155 tons of crude oil was delivered with the above-the-plan delivery amounting to 201,495 tons, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

New Drilling
The total new drilling penetration for 3 months of 2012 amounted to 157.7 thousand meters (136.0 thousand meters in 2011), including 113 thousand meters (109.8 thousand meters in 2011) drilled for TATNEFT with production drilling amounting to 110.7 thousand meters, and exploratory drilling amounting to 2.3 thousand meters. 135 thousand meters (11.3 thousand meters in 2011) were drilled for subsidiaries of TATNEFT, including production drilling in the amount of 10.3 thousand meters, and exploratory drilling in the amount of 3.2 thousand meters.

86 wells (94 wells in 2011) were constructed and delivered to the customers, including56 wells (64 wells in 2011) to TATNEFT with production drilling accounting for 54 wells and exploratory drilling- 2 wells. 5 wells were delivered to the subsidiaries of TATNEFT (7 wells in 2011), including 4 production wells and 1 exploratory well.

Active Well Stock Drilling
Total penetration of sidetracking and horizontal wellbores during two months of 2012 amounted to 9 thousand meters (10.3 thousand meters in 2011), including 5.1 thousand meters for TATNEFT (7.2 thousand meters in 2011).

It is expected that 15 wells (19 wells in 2011) would be delivered to the customers, including 11 wells to TATNEFT (15 wells in 2011).

40 drilling crews have been performing traditional well drilling operations since the beginning of 2012. 7 drilling crews are engaged in drilling lateral wellbores and lateral horizontal wellbores. One drilling crew is performing drilling to the bituminous deposits of Ashalchinskoye field for NGDU "Nurlatneft". The penetration per crew in new drilling will amount to 3,881 meters/ while in 2011 the penetration per crew for three months amounted to 3,761 м. 22.6 thousand meters were drilled outside the Republic of Tatarstan.

Wells Repair
732 well remedial operations were performed in March 2012 with a number of the wells subjected to remedial operations for three months amounting to 2,119, which was 11.5 percent more, than in 2011 (1,900 wells in 3 months of 2011), including 1,774 producing wells, which is 12 percent more, than ib 2011 (1,584 wells in 2011) and 260 injection wells, which is 11.6 percent more, than in 2011 (233 wells in 2011).

10 wells were repaired outside the Republic of Tatarstan for "Tatneft-Samara" and 1 well for "Tatneft-Severny" ( 10 wells were repaired for 3 months of 2011, including 8 wells for "Tatneft-Samara" and 2 welsl for "Tatneft-Severny").

The workover operations were performed in 568 wells (203 wells in March), including production string sealing performed in 76 wells, shutting-off individual layers and recompletion in other intervals were performed in 45, wells, transfer of wells into different categories and wells completion for injection in 36 wells, failure liquidation and cleaning of the production string and bottom hole zone in 65, wells, installation of isolating packers and dual completion systems in 15 wells and physical liquidation and re-liquidation in 6 wells.

184 wells were worked over with application of coil tubing (72 wells in March, including 37 wells worked over through the annulus.

Formation hydrofracking operations were performed in 96 wells (24 wells in March) accounting for 24 wells increase versus the similar period in 2011 (72 wells during 3 months of 2011). Cumulative incremental crude oil production resulting from application of this method amounted to 5 million and 420 thousand tons.

Eight small diameter wells were drilled and completed for TATNEFT during three months of 2012. At present drilling of one slim hole is in progress for NGDU "Prikamneft" and two wells for NGDU "Leninogorskneft".

Works on oil recovery enhancement were performed in 561 wells (188 wells in March), including chemical methods applied in 312 wells (97 wells in March).

Incremental crude oil production resulting from application of the crude oil recovery enhancement methods amounted to 1,410 thousand tons, with application of chemical methods accounting for production of 643 thousand tons.

Bottomhole area treatment operations with application of TATNEFT's technologies were performed in 788 wells during three months of 2012.
