OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. In 2012 OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter – MMC Norilsk Nickel or the Company) will invest RUB 1.4 bln. in the  corporate social programs “Nash Dom”  (Our Home) and “Moi Dom” (My Home). Previously, the Company spent RUB 4 bln. on financing of “Nash Dom” program and RUB 950 mln. on financing “Moi Dom” program, reported the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel.

“Nash Dom” program initiated in 2010 is intended for employees of Polar Division and Polar Transport Division of MMC Norilsk Nickel, as well as for employees of OJSC Kola MMC.
“Moi Dom” program initiated in 2011 is focused on the key Group employees (employees of subsidiaries of MMC Norilsk Nickel and Kola MMC) including power engineers, transport workers, builders and repair workers.

Ready-to-live apartments are purchased by the Company in Russian regions with good living conditions and provided to employees on conditions of co-financing: the Company shall pay  up to half of the price, while the employee shall pay  the rest within 5-10 years. The employee undertakes to stay with MMC Norilsk Nickel for that period. Only after this period the employee can register the apartment as his property, but he can immediately use the apartment after receiving it: sublease it, live in it during the vacation time, provide accommodation for his children, etc. The cost of apartment is fixed for the whole period of the employee’s participation in the program.

The programs envisage acquisition of about 1,600 apartments by the Company.

Currently “Nash Dom” program totals 771 Company employees as participants, “Moi Dom” program totals 21 participants.

As part of “Nash Dom” (Our home) and “Moi Dom” (My home) programs the Company purchases apartments in Moscow region cities (Ramenskoye, Noginsk, Stupino, Shchelkovo, Lyubertsy) and in Krasnodar region (Krasnodar, Anapa).

The Programs are aimed at replenishment of strategically important key personnel - highly skilled employees, including employees of highly rare occupations and professions at the operations of the Company’s subsidiaries located on the territory of the Extreme North.

The Programs represent a fundamentally new mechanism that generates interest of the best-qualified, enthusiastic, responsible and efficient employees in long-term employment with the Company. Implementation of the programs makes it possible for the Company to form a stable core of professionals.

Both programs are considered by MMC Norilsk Nickel to be beneficial target investments of the Company into the manpower.
