In the course of the Forum the contemporary instruments to improve service level in supply chains and peculiarities of the new Customs Code were considered

Mr. Oleg Sheiko, Advisor to Vice Prime-Minister, Minister for Social Policy of Ukraine Sergey Tigipko presented his report. As the Chair of the Work Group at the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine on preparation of a new draft Customs Code, Mr. Sheiko dwelled upon all major innovations laid down in the draft Customs Code

UVK company was represented at the Forum by Sergey Altynnikov, the Head of Customs Brokerage Department. Mr. Altynnikov told about the predictability of foreign economic activities in Ukraine, their costs, customs related risks and their minimization as well as of the use of a bonded warehousing in a foreign economic supply chain and consignment trading as an option to optimize the relevant risks

Among the speakers on supply chain management issues were the recognized experts, such as Alexander Taranishin, Deputy Director at Chumak, Andrey Zavizion, Logistics Director at COMFY and others

The key issues considered and discussed in a supply chain section included:

• trends in the logistics services market in Ukraine and abroad

• trends to impact supply chains and logistics in Ukraine

• new technologies to optimize warehousing logistics within a supply chain

• methods to improve efficiency of transport logistics within a supply chain

• innovative solutions and technologies to increase general service level in logistics

In the course of a panel discussion entitled ‘Distributor vs. Logistics Provider’ certain valuable issues were discussed, such as pro’s and con’s of a logistics outsourcing, value-added opportunities granted by the cooperation with an experienced and reliable 3PL solutions provider and others
