ATFBank Announced Performance Results for 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2012. According to results of 2011 ATFBank decreased losses by more than three times, reported the press-centre of KASE.
Financial indicators by results of 2011 according to IAS:
- Operational income increased by 33% if compared with the last year and made up KZT33 bn as a result of the net interest yield increase (+10.6%), commission income increase (+9%) and commission expenses decrease (-29%):
- Other general and administrative costs made up KZT10.1 bn (+20.2%) mainly due to lump sum costs.
- Losses from devaluation made up KZT23.3 bn or by 41% less if compared with the last year. The decrease has been achieved through growth impairment of problem loans and their stabilizing in 2011 if compared with 2010.
- Net loss for the period decreased by more than three times if compared with the last year and made up KZT8.9 bn.
According to results of 2011, ATFBank is on the 5th place by its assets size and the 4th place on its loan portfolio among second-tier banks of Kazakhstan.
In addition, ATFBank is on the 5th place on its deposits level, their growth in 2011 made up 8%. The bank maintains significant liquidity rate, if compared with 2010 the coefficient of net loans to deposits improved in 2011 by 18%.
On May 26, 2011, the Bank issued common shares to the total amount of KZT40 bn., having significantly increased its capitalization. The UniCredit Group continues investments to ATFBank demonstrating its involvement to the business development in Kazakhstan.
In November 2011, ATFBank has successfully repaid tenge nominated bonds to the amount of KZT15 bn.
By results of 2011, the Bank was assigned the high rating on custodian activities by the Global Custodian Magazine. Today, ATFBank is one of the major custodians in Kazakhstan and has over 300 clients and sub-clients.
On February 9, 2012, Fitch Rating Agency affirmed ATFBank long-term foreign currency issuer default rating at "BBB" with the "negative" outlook, having excluded the Bank from the Rating Watch "negative" list. At present, ATFBank maintains the highest credit rating among second-tier banks of Kazakhstan.
In January 2012, the UniCredit Group capital increase has been successfully completed and became the largest in the banking sector since 2009, and the largest on the market of Italy. Also, subscription was held to 99.8% from the total number of proposed shares to the total amount of EUR7.5 bn. that proves the confidence in the UniCredit Group. After the capital increase UniCredit became the bank with one of the highest capitalization rate in Europe.
