OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2012. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) has always supported smoke-free culture. In creating a smoke-free Hong Kong, Towngas has implemented smoke-free workplace measures for 13 years, and it has been receiving a positive response from our colleagues, reported the press-centre of Towngas.

In November 2011, Towngas participated in the “Hong Kong Smoke-free Leading Company Awards” organized by the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, and was awarded the Grand Award among hundreds of participated companies.
 
This campaign attracted over 200 companies from various sectors. After a series of conscientious evaluation, observation visits and judging process, Towngas was among the 15 companies which honoured the Grand Award. The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14 March 2012. Dr York Y N Chow, GBS,JP (Secretary for Food and Health), presented the Grand Award to Senna Cheung, Towngas Senior Corporate Human Resources Manager and Ho Siu Keung, Towngas Security Manager.
