OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2012. An Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU has been initialed in Brussels. The step marks the completion of five years work of negotiating teams and is an important step towards the establishment of new contractual framework between the EU and Ukraine.

The next task is to ensure the early preparation of the Agreement to the signing.

For its part the Government of Ukraine will continue to implement systemic reforms aimed at introducing high European standards in all areas of our state.

I express my sincere appreciation to all participants of the negotiations as on the part of Ukraine and the EU for professionalism and commitment to achieve meaningful results.
