The Head of FAS Department for Administrative Reform, Lyudmila Solontsova, and the Head of the Unit for Control over Fee-Based and Public Services of the Department, Violetta Maksimova, took part in the work of the Section on “General Issues of Enforcement of the Federal Law “On Organization of Public and Municipal Services”, where they gave a joint presentation regarding “Antimonopoly Control by FAS Russia over Public (Municipal) Services as well as Services that are Necessary and Mandatory for Providing Public (Municipal) Services”.

Deputy Head of FAS Department for Administrative Reform, Svetlana Belozerova, attended the Section on “Improving Controlling-and-Supervisory Functions and Optimizing Public Services in Certain Spheres”, where she discussed activities of No.1 Working Group and FAS Russia towards developing Actions Plans to improve controlling-and-supervisory and permissive functions of executive bodies as well as removing excessive government regulation of the economy.

Both presentations generated significant interest of conference participants from Russian regions, especially taking into consideration that in 2012 the constituent territories of the Russian Federation would have to make efforts to improve public control and optimize provision of public services.
