Holger Mueller Named Co-Chair of AmCham Real Estate Committee
OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2012. In his new role, Dr. Mueller is looking forward to taking an active part in the successful work of the Real Estate Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). In addition to keeping AmCham members informed about developments on the Russian real estate market, he will help to keep the committee as a strong networking platform and support the Chamber in the smooth running of the Committee’s day-to-day work, reported the press-centre of PwС.
Dr. Mueller has broad experience in executive positions at Russian real estate investment and consulting firms. In December 2011, he was appointed Leader of the Moscow-based Real Estate Advisory Practice at PwC Russia, with a focus on extending the firm’s capabilities in audit, tax, corporate asset valuation, capital raising and business strategy development services for PwC clients.
With over 10 years' experience in the Russian real estate sector, Dr. Mueller has held corporate finance- and real estate-related executive positions with numerous companies, including: Flemings UCB (1997–2001), WestLB Vostok (2001–2004) and UFG Asset Management (2007–2010). Between 2010 and 2011, he ran the real estate operations as Director General at Barwa Gazprombank Russia. In 2004-2007, he founded and grew his own company, Rhine Capital, advising many international corporations operating in real estate and seeking to access the Russian property market. His clients included Invesco Real Estate, Garbe Logistics, FOM Development and ING Eurasia. Before relocating to Russia, Dr. Mueller worked for Swiss Bank Corporation in Basel, Switzerland, as Associate Director of Risk Management Eastern Europe. He holds an MA in economics from Universite Montpellier (1991), France, and a PhD in Russian banking services from Marburg University (1995), Germany.
