OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2012. OJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines starts its summer schedule valid till 27 October 2012, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

At summer season 2012 the company will launch such new destinations as Guangzhou (China)- three flights a week, Krakow (Poland) - four weekly flights, Stuttgart (Germany), Vilnius (Lithuania), Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odessa, and Kharkov (Ukraine) - daily flights. One flight a day will also be carried out to Russian cities of Nizhnekamsk, Novy Urengoy, Orenburg, and Tomsk.

The route network of Aeroflot comprises 115 destinations including 45 points in Europe, 12 in Asia, 6 in the USA, 5 in the Middle East, and 3 in Africa. Aeroflot’s network covers 52 countries including 6 CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kirgizstan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan).

Our network in the CIS is made up of 11 destination points: Baku, Bishkek, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Yerevan, Kiev, Minsk, Odessa, Simferopol, Tashkent, and Kharkov.

Aeroflot operates domestic flights to 33 destinations in demand: Anapa, Astrakhan, Gelendzhik, Barnaul, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Kemerovo, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhnevartovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhnekamsk, Novosibirsk, Novy Urengoy, Omsk, Orenburg, Perm, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Samara, Saint-Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut, Tomsk, Tyumen, Ufa, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

To ensure comfort for passengers, Aeroflot will raise frequency at following routes: Brussels (from 8 to 14 flights a week), Budapest (from 10 to 14 flights a week), Zurich (from 7 to 14 flights a week), Frankfurt (from 21 to 28 flights a week), Munich (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Oslo (from 7 to 14 flights a week), Riga (from 7 to 14 flights a week), Malaga (from 5 to 7 flights a week), Copenhagen (from 7 to 14 flights a week), Nice (from 14 to 16 flights a week) Havana (from 4 to 5 flights a week), Los-Angeles (from 4 to 5 flights a week), Seoul (from 5 to 7 flights a week), Bishkek (from 10 to 12 flights a week), Simferopol (from 19 to 28 flights a week), Astrakhan (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Nizhny Novgorod (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Yekaterinburg (from 28 to 35 flights a week), Novosibirsk (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Samara (from 14 to 28 flights a week), Ufa (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Volgograd (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Omsk (from 14 to 21 flights a week), Kazan (from 26 to 28 flights a week).
In view of consolidation of the Aeroflot Group, summer schedule 2012 will proactively engage air fleets of subsidiary companies. All these flights are commercially managed and 100% guaranteed by Aeroflot.

The integration process will also include establishment of Far East transit air hubs in Khabarovsk and Vladivostok. To reduce connection time Aeroflot will introduce a third flight a day from Moscow to Khabarovsk and to Vladivostok. These flights will be operated by subsidiaries Vladivostok Avia and Orenburg Avia. This is the first time a multi-hub strategy for regional transportation is incorporated in Russia.

Membership in SkyTeam offers Aeroflot passengers an extensive route network and seamless connections among partnering airlines. Along with its own flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, Aeroflot will fly to 170 destination points from other Russian and foreign cities in cooperation with marketing partners.

This summer Aeroflot will carry cargo to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Hahn, Helsinki, and Shanghai.

Moreover this season Aeroflot plans to establish its representative offices in Stuttgart (Germany), Krakow (Poland), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Guangzhou (China), Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkov (Ukraine), as well as in Russian cities of Abakan, Blagoveschensk, Novy Urengoy, Orenburg, Tomsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, Yakutsk.

Network expansion plus ongoing service improvement is a keystone of the strategy to set up a global network air carrier.

According to Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Saveliev, the company seeks to maintain its leadership in the industry by opening new routes, increasing frequency, reducing connection time and boosting transit traffic. Talking about logistic advantages of Moscow Mr. Saveliev noticed that the capital of Russia is not just an ideal hub for Europe – East Asia destinations but is also the shortest way from another growth pole India to the US.
