Agriculture Ministry to Promote Moldovan Wines in China
OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2012. Moldovan Agriculture and Food Minister Vasile Bumacov has started a visit to China.
"Cooperation ties between the line ministries of the two states have significantly developed over the past two years. China is among Moldova's top sales markets, in particular for quality wines, which are highly appreciated and demanded by the Chinese consumers," according to a press release issued by the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The access to the Chinese market is also a favourable alternative for Moldovan wine producers. The ministry is set to annually sell at least one million bottles of quality wines.
On the sidelines of his visit, Bumacov will have a string of meetings at the Chinese Trade Ministry, at the Agriculture Ministry, as well as with representatives of several companies. The minister will invite the Chinese investors to Moldova, offering them the opportunity to involve in the wine-making process, together with Moldovan wine-makers.
Vasile Bumacov will urge the Chinese investors to liven up the Moldovan vegetables' breeding sector, as the Chinese side had repeatedly expressed its willingness to carry out joint projects in the farming field.
