OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2012. NOMOS-BANK (LSE, MICEX: NMOS), the eighth largest bank group in Russia by total assets and the country’s second largest privately-owned universal bank, is to transfer six of its sub-divisions in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions to come under the direct management of Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk, reported the press-centre of NOMOS-BANK.

The transfer concerns branches in the cities of Ekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, as well as additional back offices in Ekaterinburg, Kamensk-Uralsky, Magnitogorsk and Trekhgorny. Nomos Bank’s network of cash dispensers and POS-terminals in the two regions will also now come under the management of Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk. Business development by NOMOS-BANK in these regions will henceforth be under the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk brand.

There will be no direct impact for our clients and services for corporate and private customers of NOMOS-BANK who have agreements with the sub-divisions above that are being transferred to the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk will continue to be provided on the same terms.

"This decision is all part of our bank’s development strategy," said the President of NOMOS-BANK, Dmitry Sokolov. "An arrangement where customers in one region are served by only one of the Group’s banks will ensure our business is more efficient in terms of revenue and cost management and will also offer additional benefits to our customers. We are confident that this decision will strengthen the position of our Bank in the financial services market in the Urals, which is one of the key regions of Russia’s economy".

NOMOS-BANK and Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk are part of the same banking group and offer almost identical products, technologies and high standards of service to their customers.

"Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk is one of the leading financial and credit institutions in the Urals Federal District," said the President of Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk, Dmitry Mizgulin. "Serving the Urals is a business priority for our Bank and we are implementing an ongoing strategy for the development of our network in the Ekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk regions. By the end of this year we will have five fully-serviced sub-divisions operating in Ekaterinburg and a further two are scheduled to open in Chelyabinsk. With the additional NOMOS-BANK offices that are coming under our control, we will have a network of eight service outlets in the Sverdlovsk region by the end of 2012, as well as five outlets in the Chelyabinsk region".
