OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2012. The Agreement on FTA between Ukraine and Israel will be signed soon. This was stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting with Minister of Tourism of Israel Stas Misezhnikov.

"An important element of our economic cooperation should be the signing of bilateral agreements on free trade area. We are ready to move in this direction and I think that soon we can conclude negotiations and sign this agreement", - Mykola Azarov said.

He informed that last year, bilateral trade turnover grew to about 858 million dollars, and there is considerable potential to increase it.

Minister of Tourism of Israel, in turn, noted that negotiations are ongoing on trade groups which will be included to the free trade area.

"In the nearest future it will be completed work on the FTA. Our working groups are agreeing on a range of products that will be included to the FTA. And I think that this work will be completed soon" - Stas Misezhnikov confirmed who is the head of intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation from the Israeli side.
