Uzbekistan Participates in Moscow Tourism Fair
OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2012. Largest annual Moscow International Exhibition “Travel and Tourism” - MITT 2012 – has been held at Central Exhibition Complex “Expocenter”, which is one of the prestigious halls in the Russian capital.
Uzbekistan was presented at separate pavilion, which was organized by Uzbektourism, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and leading tourism companies of Uzbekistan at the support of Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow, Fund Forum and Bureau of International Youth Tourism and Cooperation Kelajak Tur.
MITT is largest international tourism exhibition in Russia and it is one of the five largest tourism fair in the world. According to the organizers, this year over 3,000 companies from 189 countries and regions of the world participated at the event. Some 80,000 people from 479 cities of Russia and 95 countries, as well as 50,000 professional visitors attended the exhibition.
Uzbekistan’s stand was designed in national style with use of national ornaments, beautiful images and paintings, demonstrating landscape, ancient cities, architecture monuments and sights of the country.
A documentary film on development of tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan was presented at the exhibition. The visitors also received information on potential of tourism of Uzbekistan, culture and hospitality of the Uzbek people.
Within the exhibition, the visitors had chance to taste Uzbek samsas, bread and various sweets.
